Here's an example only: =================================================== I am writing in regards to the Odour coming from the RRRC's Waste Composting Facility. Over the past four years the odour has had a massive impact on our family and quality of life. We could not enjoy entertaining for BBQ's, Birthdays, Christmas or Easter due the stench being so unbearable. In summer, especially, with the warmer weather, we were not able to open our windows. If we turned our air-con on the odour filled our house and we were not able to sleep. We've suffered from continuous sleepless nights, runny noses, blood noses, dizzy spells, feeling nauseous, eyes burning etc when the odour occurs. It's been a relief not living with the odour for the past month or so, since the plant has been temporarily shut down, but we are concerned at the prospect of it re-opening. We don't want to be part of some experiment to see if the odour is still being omitted while the SMRC and RRRC are trying to figure out if their repairs have worked - or not. It has been stated, long before now, that it is not possible to guarantee that there won't be an odour - even after repairs are completed! If the building doesn't meet specifications, is breaching section 43 of the environmental act and there are no guarantees that this doesn't incurr long term side affects on our health - then why is the re-opening of this plant even being considered? To those of you in power please make the stand on our behalf and make sure we don't have to endure this for another 15+ years. It is unfair and cruel to expect residents, their families and pets to have to live amongst such a disrupting odour.
